Can I just delete the My Pictures and My E Books folders
and not have them at all? When I do delete them XP just
puts them back. I don't want those folders to be around.
I DO want the "My Documents" folder. And I don't just
want to set their properties to "Hidden" so I can't see
them.

Hi

My Pictures and My eBooks are both System folders and will be re-created. AFAIK there is no way to permanently delete them.

1.. Click Start on the taskbar.
2.. Right-click an empty space on the Start menu, and then click
Properties.
3.. On the Start Menu tab, click Start Menu.
4.. Click Customize, and then click the Advanced tab.
5.. Under each of the following Start Menu items, do not display:

b.. My Music
c.. My Pictures
6.. Click OK, click Apply, and then click OK.
