In xp.. you used to be able to see the file name / path when the my
photos slide show would go.. now in vista this is gone..

Is there any way to hack this feature back in.. or a 3rd party screen
saver which would have it?

Thanks.

The new slide show screen saver in Vista doesn't seem to have this option?

What you can do if you have access to an XP system, just copy the
C:\Windows\System32\ssmypics.scr file from that system and place it in the
C:\Windows\System32 folder in Vista. It will work the same way as it did in
XP.

I tried copying ssmypics.scr from my XP home machine to my vista home, and I do not get the folder locations....I would love to get/keep this feature in Vista home....any tips are appreciated!

I tried you simple fix on this problem and it made no difference, I still see no file names. I have Vista Business for home use, with all updates and it's just annoying that this good feature doesn't. Am I missing something, like an entry in the registry, or some other little thing for this to work. I would appreciate your help in this. Thanks and regards.
