My PDC crashed.

Hello.
I service four buildings that are in the same Local Area Netwok and
each building has its own subnet and its own DC.
In one building a DC serves as a Schema Master, ene is the PDC and one
is the Domain Name master.
Each one of those servers provide DC, DNS, WINS, and DHCP for the
subnet they are on.
I have NT, 2000, and 2003 servers at my company.
All DC's are Windows 2000.

One of my DC's in one of those four buildings crashed which happens to
be my PDC!!! All the services in that perticular building are DOWN.

How can I restore services to that building temporarily as well as
other three buildings (since this was my PDC) while the server is being
rebuilt???

Please help.

Thank you.

Mike

Mike-

Do you have a system state backup so that you can restore the DHCP database?
The other three you can just replicate off of another box that's running the
services. You'll need to use ntdsutil to seize the pdc fsmo (and any others
on the down box).

I'd recommend you change your firewall rules and routing such that your DHCP
scopes provide secondary DNS & WINS in a different building, and DHCP scopes
follow the 80/20 rule so that if the local server goes down, the router will
relay the dhcp requests to another subnet.
