my password won't save and I can't receive emails how do I fix th.

I can send emails from outlook fine but everytime I try to receive emails it
says that the receiving server has timed out. moreover, every few minutes I
am asked to enter my username and password despite having saved this
information. I have followed all the help options given to solve both of
these problems and nothing has worked...I need outlook for work...Help
