Sean,
If you have Windows XP, have you ever checked out System Processes when you
start Outlook? I have a suspicion that another "Image Name" may be using all
your resources when you are trying to open it.
To check, do this:
1. Right-click a blank area of your task bar.
2. Click "Task Manager".
3. Click "Options" and make sure "Always on top" is checked.
4. Select the "Processes" tab. At this point note if any "Image Name" is
using a lot of "CPU". There may already be one that's high, say, in the 80's
or 90's.
5. NOW start Outlook and look at Processes in the Task Manager. Is it the
Outlook that's using a high percentage of CPU resources?
Hope this helps,
ZILLA
