My outlook.pst is maxed out. What do i do?

I am unable to work in Outlook 2002. The message says that my outlook.pst
file is at it's maximum size and I need to delete some items. How? Help..

Before you take Andreas' advice, first try to delete some items. Empty the
Deleted Items folder, if you can. Select items of no more use, hold down
the Shift key and press Delete. Create a new PST (File>New>Outlook Data
File) and move some items from the old PST to the new one. Don't be skimpy.
Move half of your data if you can. Once you've taken these steps,
right-click on Outlook Today, choose Properties, click Advanced, then
Compact Now.

If these steps don't work, then follow Andreas' advice.
