My outlook folders keep collapsing. Can I lock them?

Even on different computers, my outlook folders keep collapsing. Can I lock
them? I have major folders for family & friends, individual folders under
them. But without ever indicating that I want them to collapse, they
collapse and I have to painstakingly unlock them once again. Can I lock them
open?
