My Outlook 2003 did not fresh or update on the global address

Hi,
Our IT published new distribution list on global address. All of coworkers
were abled to see the new distribution list on the global address book of
outlook except. The worst thing is my global address book still shows the
employee names already left the company. Any tips or information will be
appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Johnny Chow

close Outlook 2003 and delete the *.oab files found at \Documents and
Settings\<userid>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

/neo

ps - Local Settings and Application Data are hidden/system directories so
don't forget to configure Windows Explorer to show them.

Thank you for clear instructions, it is working now. I am curious what is
the purpose of those oab files.

*.oab files is an offline representation of the global address list. it
didn't sound like outlook was updating them, so you forced the issue by
deleting them.
