my operating system has become unreliable.

i have reinstalled my windows xp operating system and it has only made the
problem bigger.

at first my pc was running slow and was having trouble loading my mouse
drivers, then it began to glitch with strong dc++.

upon reinstalling the operating system, it now refuses to run many of my
games and is always performing disc checks on boot up. can anyone help?
