Hello everyone. My computer was hard turned off. The next day when I turned
on the computer it gives me an error message when loading windows xp pro. The
warning is Windows cannot load your profile because it may be corrupted. How
in the world can I fix this? As it is now it will only log me in as a
temporary person. I own this computer and I am the only one who uses it.
Please respond.

XP Home or Pro?
It is doubtful you are the only user. Try logging into the computer like...

XP Home:
Safe Mode.. Then log in as "Administrator" with no password (just press
ENTER.)

XP Professional:
At the welcome screen, press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice, get the classic logon
prompt and enter "Administrator" as the username, no password (just press
ENTER.)

I tried this and it did not work. I did however notice when I right click the
start button and explore I see the administrater and under another sub icon I
see my profile. Yet the computer is assigning me a temp login. When I log off
the temp id I see the One icon with my main profile on it. It is still labled
correctly. Yet when i start the computer from a cold start it gets to the
welcome to windows xp pro and I get that that cannot find user profile error.
