My News Button vanished in Outlook 2003

My old computer burned up and I am setting up a new one with WinXPsr2 and
Office 2003 --OUTLOOK 2003

When I went to add the "NEWS" button to the "GO" Menu list--my finger
slipped and the "NEWS" button disappeared! I normally use OUTLOOK to start
the newsreader and have been happy with doing it that way. I usually go the
Toolbar/Menu > Add or Remove Buttons > Customize > GO > and then drag the
"NEWS" button over to the GO on the main toolbar/menu (whatever it is.).

How can I resurect the "NEWS" button? I tried the detect and repair but it
is still missing.
Thanks.
Stan

OK

I just read through some of the old posts that I downloaded after
writing the question below. I tried what Diane suggested (see below)
and shut down Outlook then restarted. The "News" button did come back
to the "GO" section (Toolbar/Menu > Add or Remove Buttons > Customize >
GO >). I then went to drag it to the other GO on the menu header, and it
slipped again. This time it just stayed on the top row between VIEW and
GO. I then went back to the Toolbar/Menu > Add or Remove Buttons >
Customize > GO > and then dragged the
"NEWS" button over to the GO on the main toolbar/menu.

This time it DID go into the "GO" Menu, and it is also showing between
the
VIEW and GO menu headers. So there are two ways to start the newsreader
;)

Thanks Diane,
Stan

Ps
After all this trouble I think I'll go back to the NewsHound --it's
great.

||| |||| To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in
|||| Control Panel | Internet Options and change the default newsreader
|||| to Outlook Express. If OE prompts you to make it your default
|||| newsreader the next time you launch it, click the "Don't ask me
|||| again" box and then click the No button.
