Anyone know how to restore My Network Places back to My Computer and Windows
Explorer?

Thanks.

Tom

Hi Tom,

Relax the "NoNethood" Policy. More information about the Policy is available
here:

NoNetHood:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/...s/2000/server/reskit/en-us/regentry/58875.asp

NOTE: If you've hidden the "My Network Places" using the method described
in the following article, please use the Undo script provided at the bottom
of the page (http://windowsxp.mvps.org/hidemnp.htm)

My Network Places - Display on Desktop - Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\
NewStartPanel. Once there, locate {208D2C60-3AEA-1069-A2D7-08002B30309D} in
the list on the right. Right click on it and select Modify. Change the value
equal to 0. Reboot your computer.

Hello Byte,

Good idea. But that actually applies to the Desktop icon only. This is most
probably caused by one of the two Policy settings (NoNethood or using the
Non-enumerate option)

That worked! I now have My Network Places in Windows Explorer. Any way to
get it in My Computer?

Only if you can tell us which one worked, Plomaris.
