My Network Places Conundrum

First, almost all of my problems were solved by browsing these news
groups. Here's one that has not shown up...close, but not exactly.

I have a three pc home network...XPHomeSP2 on all three computers.
Each has two hard drives and all are accessible and viewable. I also
have ICS. Everthing works fine, but....

From the shared computer... used for ICS service...one of the other
PC hard drives does not show up when I access using My Network Places
and look for the drive icon in the Windows Explorer list directly or
in the My Networks window. In neither place does this one drive show
up. Unless...

If I go the network group and tree down through the Entire Network
and look for all the computers in the group, all the PCs and drives
show up, including the one that does not show up by directly viewing
the list of PCs and hard drives. I just cannot get that one HD to show
up directly in Windows Explorer or in My Network Places without going
about the group drill-down approach. I have check the settings and
everything seems to be the same across all the PCs including NICs etc.

If everything else weren't operating great, I would be concerned. As
it is, I can live with this...but why is it happening and how might I
fix it??

I don't know why that drive is so hard to find, but here's a way to
avoid the problem: in My Network Places, click "Add a network place"
and create a shortcut to the drive.
