My messages w/ attachments are not being delivered

It seems whenever I send a message w/ an attachment, it is not being
delivered and not going into spam or deleted items - the seems to go nowhere
- I also get a message on some of these that are undeliverable. I am using
windows mail and running Vista Ultimate - Any help would be GREATLY
appreciated

Are you trying to send the mail when the file is still open?

How big are the attachments? Many email providers set a limit on
the total size of the message.

Do you get an error message when you try to send?
If so, exactly what does it say?
After your sending attempt, is the message in the Outbox folder
or in the Sent Items folder?

Everything shows it was sent. And the meesage goes into the sent folder

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no protection not provided by the regular
resident protection. It is probably delaying sending while it scans enough
that the server times out, but the anti-virus has told WinMail that the
message was sent.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's anti-virus seems to be
causing problems too.

Norton came installed on my machine

If it's from Norton, McAfee, or Trend, yes. Then tell us which one,
so we can tell you if you need an additional cleanup procedure.

If that cures the problem, you may want a replacement antivirus
program that doesn't cause such problems. I recommend either
avast! or AVG, either one with a custom install that tells it to leave
out the part that scans email.

Please delete it. If it's a full install, the uninstall tool in Control
Panel should work. But if you have been diddling with it by deleting
selected files, you will need to get the removal tool from Symantec from
their site. In fact sometime it can only be removed by using the tool.

Uninstall it from he Control Panel. There may be several entries.
Anything "Norton" or "Symantec" needs to go. If you have difficulty,
use their removal tool:

Reboot the computer, and before installing a new antivirus, test your
Windows Mail to make sure the problem is gone.
With either Avast or AVG antivirus, during the install phase you must
select custom install, and then deselect the email scanning option.
