my laptop screen

Hi,
My question regards my lap top screensaver. I went to properties and set up
a screensaver and set the sime for it to come on in 10 minutes if it is not
in use.
For some reason, lately, if I'm not using my lap top for even 2 minutes, the
screen goes black and I have to wiggle the mouse to 'wake it back up'. So
this happens instead of it waiting the 10 minutes and letting my screensaver
come on.
Is there something I can do to stop my lap top screen from going black?
My laptop is an acer, if that helps.

What about the power configuration by right clicking on the Desktop and
select Properties.
Click Screen Saver then Power Button, there be sure under the settings for
Portable/Laptop power scheme:

Plugged in | Running on
Batteries
Turn off: After 15 Mins | 10 Mins

// // // //
//
System Standby : 25 mins | 10 mins
System Hibenates: To never if you wish then 30 Mins for batteries
