My Internet Explorer keeps opening mutliples of tabs

Everytime I try to visit a site, several tabs labling: HTTP 404 NOT FOUND.
This is really bothering me. Some of the tabs are unwanded pop-ups, how do I
stop this from happening.
 
This newsgroup is dedicated to the support of the Windows Mail program.
As such, we can't be of much help with IE problems.
