People send me email with some words highlighted in a different color. When
I receive the email, all the text is black. How do I change this so that I
can see it the way they are sending it?

Thank you

It sounds like they are sending in HTML format and you are reading in PLAIN TEXT
format.

If you're using a company system, it may be configured that way for security
reasons.

If you're using a personal system, check to see if you have the Slovak
Attachment Options add-in installed? If so, check to see if the "Read all email
as plain text" is enabled.

If not, check the settings in your anti-virus app.

You need to specify your Outlook version and revision level (SP#) in order to
get proper answers.

My answer/resolution applies to Outlook 2002 SP3. Other versions may differ.

In Outlook, click on Tools > Options > Other > Advanced Options > COM Add-ins.
It will be listed as "AttachmentOptions". If enabled, you'll have an additional
section tab called "Attachment Security & Options" in the Options set.
