my icons won't work with XP

My .ico & .icl files will not open...I do not know
which file type in Windows XP to associate them with. Help!

You need an imaging program that will display the .ico file type. I
recommend getting the free IrfanView program. It is very easy to use and
very powerful.

What happens when you double click an *.ico file??

Windows Picture and Fax viewer will open *.ico files.
Right click an *.ico file | Preview.
Internet Explorer will open them also.
Open IE | File | Open | Use the Browse button to navigate
to your *.ico file location(s)

I forgot to add that Paint will open *.ico files also.
Start Paint | File | Open | Navigate to your *.ico file location.

Also:
Right click *.ico file | Open with |
Paint
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
Choose Program
