Viewing Icons in X PHome SP2

Hi I have a folder full of icons that I use to distinguish folders/
shortcuts
When I goto change an icon, I can no longer view the icon, the *.ico file,
unless I open it in a picture viewer. It used to be that the *.ico files
showed as a small view of the icon plus it's name.
Now I just get what appears to be a " NotePad" icon and the name.
Anyone know how to reset this function, please.

Hi Ramesh,
That reg fix wouldn't take, not even in safe mode, had to alter the security
settings in Regedit. Now sorted.
Thanks,
