I've installed XP on a new partition, but in XP, my sound and wireless
internet doesn't work; it just can't find the hardware. I think it's because
the drivers is missing (doesn't have any idea how). I cannot use windows
update, because I can't use the internet when my wireless internet doesn't
work. can i download these drivers from anywhere?
(Everything works fine on my Vista partiton)

Peripheral drivers for the sound card and wireless are usually provided
by their makers. There should be a cdrom that came with these devices.
If not, then certainly download the XP drivers from the websites of their
makers.

Is this a new computer or possibly a laptop that came with Vista
preinstalled, and now you've installed XP for a dual boot? Have you checked
on the computer manufacturer's web site for XP drivers? If they are not
provided by the computer manufacturer, then it won't run on that computer.

it goes without saying, but since you dont have web access from your
Xp installation, fire up Vista to download the drivers from the
manufacturer's website to a location XP can find, then fire up XP's
Install Hardware and when it finds the missing devices point it at the
new folder.

When you do a new install of XP, the first thing you need to do is install
the motherboard chipset drivers, then the various hardware drivers. These
will be on a CD that came with your system, or you can identify the hardware
and download the drivers from the manufacturer's sites.

The fact that the Vista install has these drivers is completely unknown, and
not applicable, to the XP install. However, you can use Vista to
*identify* the drivers and download them to a folder the XP install can see.
Then reboot to XP and install them.

Install the drivers you need for your OS. They may come with your
motherboard.
