My Hard drive is acting up...

This started yesterday, I'm not sure what happened but for some reason
my D drive, which is my slave drive, has filled up, and isn't showing
the "used/free" info at the bottom of My Computer like it used to. I'm
no expert, but I'd think I had a virus of some sort. I keep getting
"Drive D has run out of space" or something to that effect. I'm using
win98se and it's a maxtor drive, any advice would be greatly
appreciated. I don't imagine this is off-topic, but if it is... could
one of you point me in the right direction?

Try a scandisk on the drive.
