my hard disk - main files storage is acting weird

"System Restore" is causing this, it creates snapshots of Windows from time
to time.. it can literally eat up your disk in no time, if you want to risk
going without Systemrestore, you can turn it off :

Right-click the "Computer" icon, select properties, inside the new window
where you can see what Vista Edition you have and else infos you go to
"advanced properties" on the left side of the screen, one of the tabs has an
entry for the feature and it lists all monitored disks, de-select them and
so you turned System restore off ( Windows will warn you about that ) .

I barely install any new program since i bought my laptop, or downloaded
anything big. ANyhow, my hard disk went from 130gb free to 122gb free in like
a week. Can anyone explain why my hard disk is losing memory?

System Restore can come in hand with Vista!

It uses by default 15% of the total capacity of your Hard Drive.
