my firewall just stopped functioning

pls help me! my firewall juststopped functioning! after my computer was
infected by a spyware my firewall automatically turned itself off and i
couldnt turned it on again and i cant even acces the windows firewall setting
in the control panel when i try to open the windows firewall setting a
message appears and said that "DUE TO AN UNIDENTIFIED PROBLEM WINDOWS CANNOT
DISPLAY WINDOWS FIREWALL SETTING" i really need your help fast
 
You cannot start the Windows Firewall service in Windows XP
