my field name does not show up in my database

I have already created my database and I want to add a new field name. I
created the field name in Design View and have clicked the data typed and
save, but when I go back into the database to type in the information, the
field is not there. Why?
 
Where is it that you do not see the field?
Do you not see it in the table?
Do you not see it in a form?
