my fat table is lost or corrupt. Need Help!!

Earlier today I connected my dvd drive to one of the power cables from
my computer while it was still on so I could eject a cd. I thought it
would be safe since the cable comes directly from the power supply.
Anyway, when I connected it I heard my hard drive power down and then
found that the whole computer had frozen. Now I cant access the drive.
The letter shows up in windows (I had to reinstall windows to another
partition) but when I try to access it, it asks if I want to format
it.

I downloaded findpart and here are the results:

For further examination, you can download iam1.bat in

http://inet.uni2.dk/~svolaf/iam1.zip

and run iam1.bat, which contains:

findpart chsdir 1 634 1 1 summary fp1-1.txt backupbootsector
findpart chsdir 1 634 1 1 summary +fp1-1.txt backupbootsector fat1
findpart chsdir 1 634 1 1 summary +fp1-1.txt backupbootsector fat2
findpart finddir 1 634 637 +fp1-1.txt
findpart findbad 1 634 2159 firstlast +fp1-1.txt

Mail me by mail the summary in fp1-1.txt.

The batch file will search for bad sectors in the area of the
partition, so the search will take some time. If you suspect that the
search runs very slow due to bad sectors, you can interrupt the batch
file. No bad sectors however were found in the sectors, which Findpart
did read.

Reply no. 2.

The partition did not contain bad sectors, and was mainly OK based on
the Findpart Chsdir output with the fat1 and fat2 options:
Chsdir, version FP 4.39.

Disk 1 CHS: 7299/255/63 Location: 634/1/1

Total clusters: 3058412 Cluster KB: 4
Last used cluster: 3058413 Reserved: 32
FAT sectors: 23896 Root cluster: 3
FAT used clusters: 2179385 FAT entries: 138740
Used clusters: 2177529 Entries: 138740
Directories: 11984 Directories MB: 50

Partition MB: 11970 Free MB: 3433

Used clusters do not match the FAT.
Backup boot sector used.
NB files: 11

The partition was repaired by copying the FAT32 backup bootsector in
CHS 634/1/7 to CHS 634/1/1.

From the output shown, it can be seen that the number of entries in
the directories did match the number of entries in the FAT, and that
there was a close used cluster match between FAT and directories.
