My emails are disappearing as they arrive!

Suddenly, my emails are disappearing as they arrive. They are not in junk
folder nor deleted folder. I see them flash then immediately disappear! It
started out of the clear blue. I've created rules to have the important
emails go into my inbox -- to no avail. can someone please help?

Possible you have the Preview Pane/reading pane activated. This will cause
the first email in each folder with this feature enabled, to mark that email
as read. Turn off this feature in all the folders that have had unread
messages marked as read.

Had a client who professed that her machine was acting up and unfortunately
in her case it was leading to her not seeing new important messages.

Would be happy of you let me know if this worked.

Apologies replied to your post in error as I meant ot respond to sm1 else.
However reading your post I could be closer to mistakenly helping you than I
thot.

If you have specified a certain view in your Outlook other than just
messages, you might not see these messages esp if you are view "Unread
messages in this folder" a a readin pane will quickly mark any new mail as
read in your custom folder and as you click the folder, the view will hide it
from you as the msg is now read unwittingly ; - )

Now I can say let me know if this works.
