emails disappearing

hey there

i have noticed something - sometimes i see emails coming into the inbox.
then, they disappear, as though they are going into a folder, by a rule.
but these emails disappear completely - they are not in folders, or any of
the spam folders etc.

i have also searched with Lookout search add-in, and that doesnt find it
either.

i have verified my rules, there doesnt seem to be anything there that will
delete emails coming in.

does anyone have an idea what could be going on?

Thanks!

If they're being deleted, they should be in your Deleted Items folder. If
not, they are in Outlook somewhere or quarantined by your AV software if you
have it set to actively scan incoming/outgoing email. Same with your antispam
software.

What version of Outlook are you using? Have you verified the view of your
Inbox is set to Messages and not Unread Messages?

If you have any Add Ins installed, disable them and see if that fixes the
problem.

unless they are being permanalty deleted - then they would skip that stage

yes, verified.

i found the AVG plug and disabled it, but interestingly - i also found a
checked add in for SpamBayes that i used to have - but not anymore. it would
scan the spam for me, but its spam/suspected spam folder are long gone
already. could spambayes be sending the emails to no where?

thanks again for all

SOLVED!

following my previous response =
one i saw the spambayes thing, i serach in lookout for "suspected spam" as
in the folder spambayes used to use- and what do you know - it came up with
the emails i saw disappear - and many others!

then i started opening sub folder looking for it - and i found it.

so thanks for showing me the light!!
