My email disappears before I can open it.

I have had Outlook 2003 working now for about 4 months on a new computer.
All of a sudden one day I started having a problem. The legitimate email
shows up right after the Send/Receive operation is finished and immediately
disappears before I can read it. I get all of the Junk mail which also shows
up and then disappears into my Junk file. However, the legitimate email is
nowhere to be found. It is not in any folder, including the junk or deleted
(or any other file for that matter) folders. I cannot find the answer to my
problem in the knowledge base and I am losing my email. HELP, please!! I am
using XP Pro and Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003.
 
Somehow your View has changed. Go to View, Arrange by, Current View and
change it back to all messages.
