My Email attachments are truncated so will not open ("corrupted")

This problem only just started on my computer , but the laptop on my wifi
network receives perfectly (Vista, Office2007).
 
Yes google desktop search on both my computer (some attachments truncated)
and on my wife's (no truncation).

We are both using Outlook 2007 (not 2003 as in your link).

However I'll try sending an attachment to myself with Google desktop search
off to see if OK.
 
Unfortunately attachments are still truncated with Google desktop not
searching emails.
Interestingly the truncation is different each time and happens even to
small attachments.
A 376kb jpg came back as 370kb jpg (my computer rebuilt it) and on another
occassion as 345kb jpg (corrupted could not open)
