I had downloaded about 40 files to my download folder on drive E:\
(E:\Download). I was in the process of transferring them to 4 separate
folders one at a time on another drive. Luckily there was about 5 files
left when all of the sudden a flag came up saying E:\ Download is not
acceptable and it disapeared. I may have hit something else rather than the
OK.

My question is where did the download folder go? It disappeared from the E
drive. Is there a way to find it? The missing files can be downloaded
again but will require a lot of searching. Thanks in advance

Do a search for any one of the missing file names.

Hi Steam3801

Problem is I do not know the names of the files. They are related to a
Railroad route for the Microsoft Train Simulator. I randomly downloaded
them. No real problem, Just will take a lot of searching and reading the
help file to see if I remember it. If I find one I remember, I can then do
a search. Thanks,

Bert

Check your Recycle bin for the folder name. Double click on Recycle bin and
see if it is there. If so, right click on folder name and then click on
restore.

If it is not there, open Windows Explorer and click on Drive E. When
dragging files, occasionally some people will click and drag the folder
inadvertently. It may be buried in another folder on the drive (remember
when click and drag on the same drive it moves automatically but when click
and drag between drives it copies.)

Let us know if this helps

Steam3801,

I think I have tried everything with no luck. I really do not need the
files this time. I just would like to know what to do if it happens again.
Thanks

Bert
