My Documents

In Win ME "My Documents" were in the root directory (C:). After an upgrade
to XP I find "My documents" in the third level subdirectory and to access
(i.e.for email attachment) I have to "drill" to get there.

I understand that " My Documents" is a system directory ( I am not sure what
that means) and I am afraid to relocate it to C:.

Question: Is relocating possible and if so will it mess up something else?

I think that I could create in C: another directory (say " My stuff") to
access my files easier.

I will appreciate your comments and advise.

Hi Mike,

Yes, you can move it. Right click it and select properties, one of the tabs
has the move option.

Thanks.
However right click on highlighted "My Documents" - Properties have only two
tabs: General and Sharing. Nothing about moving.
XP Home Edition SP2.

Hi Mike,

Make sure you're doing this on the actual folder, not the mirrored one
showing in other areas.
