My Documents

I hope this is the right place for this post. I started out with a set of
files duplicated in "My Documents" I don't know what I did. These files were
suppose to be in another folder firectly on C:\Other Folder. The files names
were duplictaed in both "My Documents" and "Other Folder". If I deleted them
in "My Documents" it deleted them in "Other Folder"

To try and fix this I started messing around with 'sharing folders'. Now I
have moved everything off the C directory to "My Documents" that isn't
reserved by the system.

How do I undo all this and also get my folders that were listed in "My
Documents" to only be in "Other Folder"???

My Documents is an alias for another folder, normally C:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\My Documents, but it can be changed to a different
folder. The My Documents that is not listed as on a hard drive is actually
a shortcut to a folder on the hard drive.
