My Documents

Wanna Know

I am using Windows XP Home Edition and I can access the My Documents folder
in one of two ways, firstly via the Start-My Documents and secondly via My
Computer-Steves Documents.

If I go to My Documents via Start-My Documents the folder opens okay and
shows all my files. If however I go to My Computer-Steves Documents, the
folder opens all the files are displayed, but the folder appears to be
customized for music as there is a large blue musical note in the background
on the right hand side. Does anyone know how I get rid of this as it isn't
a customizable folder, I would imagine something in the registry is off-key
and needs adjusting, any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

Do you by chance have Tweak UI installed? I "think" it has the capability to
modify the My Documents folder.

Dear Don,

Thank you ever so much for this, I tried solution 1 and it worked a treat!
You're a star!

Hi,
See http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_common_tasks.htm

If you decide to try Solution 2, the zipped script at the bottom of this
page
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.windowsxp.customize/msg/d7dd4582cc4b2e99
may make things easier.

Hope this helps,
