My Documents Icon

My Documents Icon on the desktop just disappeared for no
reason. I tried the windows 2000 pro repair from the cd
but it did not repair anything...please help.
Why would this happen?

Control Panel|Folder Options|View, then check the box for "Show My Documents
on the Desktop"
 
Thank you so much..that brought my documents back and
works correctly now. However why would it just change and
disappear on it's own?
