I am using XP Home SP2. I accidentally renamed my Documents folder through
C:\documents and settings\XXX\My Documents. I changed the name back and now
the folders have disappeared from my computer. I have tried going into the
registry
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DocFolderPaths),
making a new string value called user name with value data user profile\my
documents. I exited the registry and then went back in and changed it to the
person's name and the address of their documents folder (C:\documents and
settings\XXX\My Documents). Sometimes it disappears and sometimes it stays,
but the documents folder never reappears. Can anyone tell me how to make the
documents folder reappear?
