How do I prevent the My Documents folder from
automatically expanding when I open Windows Explorer?
 
If you open Explorer by using Windows Key + E, it will
open the root folder.
 
Right-click on Windows Explorer and change your target to:
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e, c:\
As you can see this opens explorer to your 'C' drive. If you want something
else change it.
