My Documents being directed to Server rather than PC

Hi,

I have an unusual problem. I have a user who had their My Documents
directed to our server and had it this way for a year or two. I redirected
it to the the correct place on the PC (i.e. documents and settings...). So
the target for My Documents is local to the laptop. The problem is that when
I open up an office file such as Excel and go to save the file, it attempts
to save it to My documents on the server. I can delete this folder but am
wondering if there is a setting change somewhere in an office file that is
the default path for where to save docuemnts to. Can someone tell me where
this would be?

Thanks,

Office application Options dialogs have default File locations settings.

That is not at all "unusual". It's called a roaming profile with folder
redirection. It allows the user to login on any domain computer (i.e.
laptop, desktop, etc) and have access to their My Documents folder.
