my display is a bit messed up

Everything on my monitor has a gray shadow. Lines of
print windows Instant messages, everything. I can not
figure out what the problem is so any insight on this
would be gratly appreciated. Much Thanks

Try using deguass, it's can be accessed using the buttons
on the monitor. If that doesn't work try changing the
settings in windows. Or try restarting the computer and
turning the monitor off all the way, possibly unplugging
it.

Yeah i have done it all. Degaussing, unplugging, shutting
off the monitor completley, and i also hooked up a new
monitor its the same problem. So i am guessing its
something in the computer. this problem occured just
yesterday after 4 months of succesful use on this machine.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling your video card drivers, if that doesn't work
you may have a faulty video card. Note some cards, Matrox I know for sure,
have a utility for removing video card software & drivers.
