My Computer & Recycle Bin

I am new to XP. Trying to help a friend. Her computer
does not have the Recycle Bin or My Computer on her
desktop. This is a brand new computer, fresh out of the
box. How do I put these items on her desktop?

Right click desktop, properties, desktop tab, customize desktop, check the
ones you want.

Right click on the desktop, choose properties. Go to the desktop tab and
click the Customize Desktop button. Check what you want and you're all set.

Right-click the desktop. Choose "Arrange Icons By".
Check "Show Desktop Icons".
