My Computer opens Search instead of Drives

Something happened just now that is driving me nuts. Suddenly, when you open
'My Computer' on my wife's PC, it now does the search function. When you
open File menu, Search is Boldface (has the focus) instead of Open. How can
I get 'My Computer' to open a drive instead of starting a search?

Thanks Rick and Carey. I used Doug Knox's vb script to fix my wife's pc.
Works fine!
