My computer locks up after i start windows

I just installed a new case on my computer and it was working fine yesterday
now it will go to the log in screen fine, then i log in and it runs
everything well but then everything stops, except for the mouse and the
keyboard what is wrong with my computer is it a software or hardware problome

Seeing as how you just performed "major" work yesterday (remove everything
out of an old case and install in a new case) I am inclined to think you
have a hardware issue.

Did the new case come with a new power supply? It may be too small in
capacity for your needs or it may be somehow defective. If so, put the old
power supply in the new case and see what happens.
