my computer locked me out!

My computer froze on me the other day, and when I finally
got it to restart, it said it was locked and requested a
password. I didn't put a password in when I installed xp.
Help?

Ann. When you boot your computer press the F8 key. This will take you to the startup menu. Choose safe mode. Safe mode will give you option to log in under the default Administrator account, which , in youir case, is probably not password protected. YOU ARE NOW LOGGED IN WITH FULL PRIVILEDGES
