Locked Out

When my computer is idle for more than a couple of hours, it locks me out. It
says to enter my password.....I didn't even know I had a password for
windows? Please help. The only way I can get into anything is to restart my
computer....this is becoming a pain.

Display applet>Screen Saver tab - uncheck the box that requires a
password when resuming from Standby.

Check the following:

1.Go to Control Panel and double click Display.
Click on the Screen Saver tab.
Remove the check mark from the box next to "On resume, password
protect" or "On resume, show the Welcome Screen".
Click OK.

2. Go to Control Panel and double click Power Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Remove the check mark from the box next to "Prompt for password
when computer resumes from standby".
Click OK.

Good luck
