My computer hangs when i log on to windows.

My computer keeps hanging once i log on windows. Have not installed any
software or hardware recently. I had even tried to reinstall windows with the
CD rom provided by computer vendor but nothing seems to help. Can anyone pls
advise me on this? Thanks.
 
"Hanging" is usually some bad driver, or broken device. 'eventvwr.msc' might show an error with a clue to what is going wrong.
