My computer function problem

Hi All
All of a sudden, when clicking the my computer icon the rolling flashlight
keeps rolling for about three or for minutes before it opens the My computer
window.
Appreciate any helpful advice. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Click start/run, type msconfig and click ok. Go to the services tab, locate
the Windows Image Acquisition service (WIA) and uncheck it. Click apply/ok
and reboot, does this help?

Thanks for your quick response. I attempted one last try before following
your advice and somehow after restarting the computer everything worked fine.
Appreciate your help even though.

if there are no many tasks, it may be virus.

Rolling flashlight ?? It's an hourglass.

Are you connected to a network ?? It may be taking time for Windows to find
all the computers hooked up to it.
