"MY COMPUTER" Double Click C:\ or D:\ Access Denied BUT

It works fine if I right click and open or explore. The right click
menu is in a different order from other hard drives on my
system......When the symptom first appeared it seemed to be treating
my Local Disk (C:\) Icon as a file rather than a link to a drive.
Whenever I use any shortcut or Icon after that initial bizzare
association it gives me a small C:\ Access Denied with a red x.

Ive tried to gain back permissions on the drive but accessed from
anywhere else besides the actual icon seems to be fine.

Click Start - Run - CMD and run these :

del /f /q /a c:\autorun.inf;d:\autorun.inf
set key=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
reg.exe delete "%key%\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons\C" /f
reg.exe delete "%key%\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcons\D" /f
