Hi Chris,

Did you go into your Computer BIOS and set the Boot Order to boot from the CD Drive first?

i also have this problem... on my second PC everything seems like its
loading but it wont load windows from the HD.

ive tried to change the boot sequence for the WINXP cd to load first
but even with this changed i get the error "Boot from ATAPI CDROM: No
Emulation" but in the bios it sees all drives i have installed. Is
there anyway to fix this?

HDs are detected in bios
CDRom drives are detected in bios
Floopydrive is detected in bios

but wont load the XP cd or load XP thats already installed on the
computer. Ive had this Computer sitting for months with no progress and
ive just upgraded to this PC. Would really appreciate it if someone
could help.

Hi maxheat,

Are you booting from the internal IDE CD-Rom Drive? Have you tried a new CD-Rom Drive, in case the one in the computer, went bad, even thou it is detected? Do you clean the CD-Rom Drive regularly?

Is the BIOS boot order set to CD first? What kind of a CD are you trying to
boot from?

How do you know you "need to reformat [your] comp"?
