my cmd closes it when i open it. i have run anti-virus and
anti-spyware. i used to get a error with autoexec.nt sayin somethin
about 16 bit subsystem. so i fixed that by typing %windir%/repair and
copying the autoexec.nt to this folder %windir%/system32 and that got
rid of the error. but it still closes so i used a program and it
replaced autoexec.nt command.com. but this is still happining so please
help me

What happens if you...

Click Start | Click Run | Type: cmd | Click OK ?

Start | Run | Type: cmd.exe | Click OK ?

Start | Run | Type: %SystemRoot%\system32\cmd.exe | Click OK ?

Start | Run | Type: command | Click OK ?

Start | Run | Type: cmd.com | Click OK ?

Any errors with any of the commands listed above?

You can copy the errors by hitting Ctrl + C when an error messages pop up.
Paste the errors into a message and post back.

cmd.com is a file added by a trojan/virus/worm.

autoexec.nt and config.nt have nothing to do with cmd.exe (Windows Command
Processor). These files are used with command.com (MS-DOS Prompt), not
cmd.exe. Also autoexec.nt and config.nt come into play if you actually have
cmd.com.

Update your antivirus software and run a full system scan.

Update whatever anti-spyware applications that you have and run a full
system scan with each one.

You might need to start in Safe Mode to run your antivirus and anti-spyware
software.

Running a full system antivirus scan or anti-spyware scan in Safe Mode can
be a good idea. Some viruses and other malware like to conceal themselves
in areas Windows protects while using them. Safe mode will prevent those
applications access and therefore unprotect the viruses or other malware
allowing for easier removal.
