My "Center Text" icon has disappeared

Hi---today I noticed all my icons for BOLD, ITALICS, UNDERLINE, etc. had vanished from the display of my MSW program. I can still perform those tasks with the CNTRL button and B,I,U, etc---but I can no longer center my text. There is no "Center Text" in my "formatting" bar either. It just seems to have been eaten. Any clues? I can justify text left and right with the "L" and "R" buttons---what's the button for "Center"?

Ben;

Open Word | Click the V on the Formatting Tool bar |
Point to Add or Remove Buttons | Select Center |
You will find the missing Bold, Italics and Underlined
buttons there also.

Hi Ben,

In Word go to Tools > Customize > Commands Tab.
Choose the category 'format,' on the right pane you will see the icons
with their explanatory text. Scroll down to Centering, it has some
centered lines <g>
Right-click the icon and, with the mouse button held down, drag it to
the toolbar where you want it, you'll see a vertical line appear,
release the button and it will appear there.

Dragging these commands to the toolbars, you can customize your
toolbars any way you like.
When you close Word, it might prompt you if you want to save the
changes to the 'normal' template, click yes.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Wesley,

Thanks:)

Your way is also very useful. The OP now has two options to customize
his toolbars according to his needs.
