I was cleaning up my daughters Gateway it was totally in poor condition and I
decided to reinstall Windows 2000 and start from scrach. Before I reinstalled
2000 I had been transferring and removing data from my new computer and hers.
The Gateway read my CD-RW disks just fine but after I installed 2000 again it
doesn't acknowledge the disk is in the drive or will not perform any actions
I try to do untill I remove the CD out of the drive.....So what got left out
between the old installation from the new installation. Its been 2 days of
fiddling and it is driving me nutz.....!

Thanks,

Ms Yvette

The burning session was probably not closed. Reinstall your burner
application.

Some propritory CD burning software doesn't produce standard disks that can
be read in any machine, particularly if you are using software that lets you
copy files to the disk as if it were a floppy or hard drive.

Reinstall the CD software that you were using before.
